Patrick McKeowns work has been published in seven scientific journals and due for publication in two more. Patricks papers in Dental journals are significant as mouth breathing in children is a known contributor to children developing abnormal craniofacial development and crooked teeth. Furthermore, children who undergo orthodontic treatment have a high chance of relapse unless poor breathing habits have been addressed.
