Katarzyna Miętek
Katarzyna Miętek is a graduate of Music Therapy and of the pedagogical studies at the Music Academy in Łódź. She also studied Musicology at the University of Warsaw. She completed postgraduate studies in Voice and Speech Education at the SWPS in Warsaw. She is a Certified Buteyko Breathing Instructor and a Social Skills Trainer. She is currently a student of postgraduate studies in Voice Disorders Rehabilitation at the University of Łódź. She did her music therapy internship at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw at the Department of Neurosis and Eating Disorders. Speaker at the Psyche and Soma conference organised by the Academy of Music in Łódź in 2023 (title of speech: Voice as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool. Practitioner's observations). Passionate about vocology, fascinated by a holistic and conscious approach in working with the voice. Constantly participates in numerous courses, trainings, seminars and conferences in the field of music therapy (e.g. NMT with Sarah B. Johnson, MRM with Dr Kieryła), education (including music education; e.g. ICDS4 Dalcroze Studies; Batia Strauss' Active Listening Method), body work (e.g. Work with the voice (including Dr Vox Voice Therapy with Dr Ilter Denizoglu, seminars and training organised by the MiX Association of Singers, Accessibly about the voice and swallowing with Dr Sielska-Badurek and Dr Borowiec). On a daily basis, she sings, conducts workshops and works holistically with voice, body, breath and emotions as a Voice Supervisor at Małgorzata Sacała's Voice Training Centre.
