Larissa Kommes is a certified instructor at Buteyko Clinic International

Larissa has been working in the dental hygiene field since 2002 and currently practices at Jeneary Dental in Le Mars, IA.

In December 2022, she became a board-certified orofacial myologist through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), making her the first COM® in the state of Iowa. She has been teaching the Buteyko Method since 2018 and earned her certification in 2024. Her therapy focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of conditions such as asthma, anxiety, sleep apnea/sleep-disordered breathing, teeth grinding, TMJ issues, snoring, mouth breathing, and difficulties swallowing.

Larissa works with patients aged 4 and up and offers both in-person and virtual consultations. She teaches in both group and individual settings. Larissa approaches each patient as an individual, designing a personalized combination of therapeutic exercises to enhance dental alignment, improve breathing, support facial posture and development, increase orthodontic stability, and promote overall systemic health.

Her passion for this field drives her to work tirelessly with each patient to help them achieve a happier and healthier version of their life.
