As a lifelong learner, dental hygienist practicing orofacial myofunctional therapy, Mom of five, and Grandma of four, Barb wishes she’d known about Buteyko Breathing and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy decades ago! She loves researching, learning, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to find the latest ways to improve the airways and breathing of those she works with. She has a Master's Degree in Public health, extensive training in Trauma Responsive Care, and is a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. She is particularly interested in how proper breathing and strengthening the muscles of the face and tongue can positively correlate with improved sleep and quality of life!

She is based in Southern Alberta, Canada, with 2 clinics in West Lethbridge, and Raymond, Alberta. She also provides therapy online through Telehealth. Her patients range in age from 4 years to 80 years old! She feels that Butyeko Breathing is best coupled with orofacial myofunctional therapy as training the muscles of the face, tongue, and mouth strengthens a patient's ability to implement effective breathing that can impact health across the lifespan! Before beginning therapy, she completes a comprehensive assessment in her Lethbridge clinic to get a full picture of all the underlying challenges that impact her patient's health.
