Hello, I’m Keiko Yoshinaka , a certified instructor at Buteyko Clinic International.
Keiko Yoshinaka is the owner of Joyful Myofunctional Therapy, where she combines her expertise as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Certified MyoMunchee Practitioner and Certified Buteyko Breathing Instructor to provide holistic and comprehensive care.
Keiko herself was a mouth breather for many years and had orthodontic treatments twice in her life. No healthcare provider taught her that nose breathing and correct oral habits were necessary for her health. She took an in-person breathing course presented by AOMT jointly with Patrick McKeown in the US in 2018.
She has witnessed many people with untreated incorrect oral and breathing habits in the dentistry and in public.
As a certified Buteyko Instructor and trained Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist, she has been passionate about spreading the benefits of OMT and nose breathing throughout Japan since 2020. Many dentists, orthodontists, RDHs, SLPs, other healthcare professionals, childcare providers and patients learn correct oral habits and the ideal pattern of nose breathing for a healthy life.
Her clients receive the high quality of care to have an optimal oral condition and restful sleep so that they can feel more comfortable with their body and can be more confident in their face, smile and themselves.
She accepts clients of all ages and is fluent in both Japanese and English.
