Marie Cockerell

I have worked as a podiatrist for 30 years. Early on in my career I saw how lack of movement and good health could lead to loss of mobility and many degenerative health conditions. Mainly for my own mobility, I trained with the British Wheel of Yoga, completing its 3 year teaching diploma. and began life as a yoga teacher.I was fascinated by Pranayama (yoga breathing) so started to further my training in this area. My desire for more science around breathing lead me next to Patrick and Buteyko. It has changed how I teach breathing with in my yoga classes and has enabled me to teach many individuals and help their own health journeys. I am particularly interested in helping with anxiety coupling breath work with gentle somatic movement and enquiry. I am also drawn to working with those recovering from and receiving treatment for cancer.
