Mouth Tape for Kids

As a children's dentist I recommend that every kid wears Myotape and when parents ask 'How do we get them to wear it?' I advise that every time a child asks for a screen/TV they don't get it unless their Myotape is on! It i that important to teach your child to breathe through their nose and they think their screen time is important so incentivise them.

I am using myotape for my 5.5 years old daughter. We been using it for 2 weeks now. The First night she still had her mouth open a bit but now she keeps it closed all the way.
She sleeps around 1 hour extra in the mornings now. As well she is not waking up at night anymore (before she would wake up at least once for the toilet). I am very happy with it as I wanted to improve her sleep quality. I haven't noticed any behaviour changes while she is awake yet.
Negative - after using it for 5 nights, when we take the tape off in the morning she has a red mark on 1 side. We started using a thin cream a few minutes before putting the tape on and it helped a lot. We tried with the thicker cream but the tape just peeled off straight away.
Overall I am very happy with the myotape.

I held off on using mouth tape on my 5-year-old daughter for awhile, until our MyoFunctional Therapist recommend MyoTape and gave us a sample to try. We have been using it for a month now (as we are in the process of expanding her palate) and I am so impressed! Her sleep has changed drastically and my daughter loves the adorable 'frog' print. The only thing we do wish is that we can pick the print! My daughter was asking for pink flamingos LOL

We are in the process of getting my daughter into an airway dentist, but I wanted something to do in the waiting. Her top jaw jets out making it really tough for her to close her mouth all the way even during the day.
We were thrilled that the first night of myotape, and she was sleeping with lips together… uninterrupted rest. Priceless!
