Iannis Psallidakos
Iannis Psallidakos is a vocalist, multidisciplinary artist, voice teacher, and certified Buteyko breathing instructor, with a unique approach that blends artistic expression and breathwork for vocal and overall health. As a member of both the French Association of Singing Teachers (AFPC - EVTA) and the Hellenic Voice Teachers Association (HEVTA), he brings an interdisciplinary perspective to his teaching, integrating breath management through the Buteyko method to enhance vocal performance, reduce stress, and improve physical well-being.
Born in Greece, Iannis initially studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens, where he built a diverse career as an architect, graphic designer, photographer, land artist, and ceramist. However, his interest in the human voice and the power of sound and resonance led him to shift his focus to vocal studies. Through this journey, he discovered overtone singing and the profound connection between breath and vocal resonance, which inspired him to explore the therapeutic potential of voice.
Iannis has trained with renowned voice teachers internationally and has developed a deep understanding of how voice and breath can be used not only for artistic expression but also for healing and personal transformation. Since 2014, he has been teaching voice and Buteyko breathing techniques, conducting workshops, seminars, and collaborations in Greece and abroad. His work spans cultural institutions, music schools, and interdisciplinary collaborations with osteopaths, speech therapists, and physical therapists, emphasizing the holistic benefits of breathing techniques for vocalists and non-vocalists alike.
