Mindy Eisenberg – Franklin

Mindy Eisenberg, MHSA, C-IAYT is the Founder and Director of Yoga Moves MS, which is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with MS, and Parkinson’s Disease.

She is the author of Adaptive Yoga Moves Any Body, created for individuals with MS and neuromuscular conditions and Adaptive Yoga Cards, daily yoga moves for all ages and abilities. Mindy has provided yoga therapy to individuals with mobility challenges for over fifteen years and thrives on building mighty community for her students and families.

She is a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress reduction teacher. Her experience as a health care administrator at the University of Michigan Medical Center contributes to her ability to bring the Yoga Moves philosophy of healing and the importance of the mind-body relationship to the health care arena.

Mindy has a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University and a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan. Mindy presents nationally for several MS, corporate and yoga organizations and offers adaptive yoga teacher trainings.

Mindy is excited to teach Buteyko. While typically working with adults, she welcomes the opportunity to help kids and has a special interest in helping those with sleep apnea and asthma.

Michelle Richards – Shelby Township

Michelle Richards, M.A., CCC-SLP, TSLI, CLC, CTRP is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over 20 years experience and training in orofacial myofunctional therapy. She attended Michigan State University for undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech-Language Pathology. She holds a Michigan Teaching Certificate as a Teacher for the Speech-Language Impaired with a minor in Psychology. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is a certified lactation consultant (CLC) to help the youngest patients improve their health, oral motor, and craniofacial development. Michelle is a Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner (CTRP). 

Michelle has a passion to help others receive individualized care. She specializes in treating tethered oral tissues (TOTs), pediatric feeding disorders, and orofacial myofunctional disorders to all ages. Michelle works closely with dentists, orthodontists, and otolaryngologists to develop the best patient outcomes. Her certification in the Buteyko Breathing Method has been exceptional in reducing patients’ anxiety and stress, improving athletic performance, and improving their sleep.

She provides services in Rochester and virtually throughout Michigan. She also provides coaching to parents, teachers, and clinicians.

Madison Scott, BS, RDH – Ann Arbor + Surrounding Area

Madison BS, RDH, began her career in the dental and airway field almost 15 years ago when she enrolled in the dental hygiene program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 2010. After 12 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist, she has looked into the mouths of thousands of patients, but the day Madison discovered the world of orofacial myology, everything changed. Her work was no longer just about teeth and oral health, but about the importance of functional breathing and sleeping to grow and develop into healthy, thriving adults.

In 2019, Madison opened her doors as an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist in Ann Arbor, MI, focusing on the importance of functional nasal breathing and harmony of the orofacial muscle complex. With new “Myo” eyes, she began looking at her dental patients in a new light. Sadly, she realized their airways were often overlooked over the years. Many of her dental patients had symptoms from undiagnosed sleep apnea, tongue ties, or jaw pain still plaguing them, even after being offered traditional solutions, such as wearing a dental bite splint.

As someone who once suffered from sleep apnea, TMD, and breathing dysfunction, Madison experienced firsthand what many of her clients experience, which further fuels her passion for helping others. Being able to offer her clients help as they navigate through difficult diagnoses with their medical providers has been the most rewarding work she’s done so far in her career. As a Certified Buteyko instructor, Madison is thrilled to be able to serve her clients even more.

Madison sees clients ranging from childhood to adulthood, offering Buteyko Breathing Method Instruction as a stand-alone service or weaved into her orofacial myofunctional therapy programs. She offers teletherapy nationwide for those not in the Ann Arbor, MI, area.

Hi, I’m Mandy!  I’m a Dental Hygienist, Myofunctional Therapist and Buteyko Breathing Instructor in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I’m passionate about understanding the root cause of not only oral myofunctional problems, but poor health in general.  I gained exposure in functional medicine as an AAOSH member and a team member at Complete Health Dentistry of West Michigan where I learned to specialize in sleep medicine, cranio-sacral growth & development and the oral-systemic link.
